java moss and insect larvae?

i got some java moss and i quarenteened it just to make sure there wasnt anything bad in it and im glad i did. right when i put it in water a bunch of what looks to be insect larvae came swarming out of it. i cant return it so i want to try and keep it and not just chunk it. could i just put in my tank and let the zebra danios eat them(they are nutritous for fish)? or is there a way to get rid of all of the larvae and possible diseases that might have come with them? thanks for any help.

no im sorry i cant they are too small for the camera to find them but the look like small dots that move very quickly and some are long and they kinda look like miniature inch worms. could i just rinse out the java moss in the sink?

I think that basically the larvae will get eaten, but wait for more experianced personas to tell you so, because i'm not sure.
