Wisteria

I picked up some Water Wisteria (Hygrophila difformis). So far it is looking pretty good in the tank and my guppies seem to be getting along with it as well. Anyone have anything they can share with their experience with it? Thank you!

BUTTERFLY just sent me some. I don't have much experience with it yet, but I'm sure other people will reply.
My fish seem to love it, the neons and molly fry love to play in it.

It is a wonderful plant. I have some growing in my betta's tank, and it's pretty much taken half the tank over, creating a perfect environment for Sun Ce. He loves resting on/under the fronds.

I seem to be allergic to the stuff. Whenever I touch it with my bare hands I end up with a stinging nettle type sensation (though much milder).

I"ve had since last fall. It grows like nuts, the fish love it and it really sucks up nitrates.

It spreads like weeds So then you have some for other tanks and to share
Live plants really do help your tank out by sucking up those Nitrates.

I never tried this plant. Can it grow with low light? I was thinking about trying maybe water sprite or duckweed for my 30g but not sure.

From what I understand it does well in low light. I have had it for two weeks now and it is doing very well. I have two 15W incandescent bulbs in my hood. So far I am really happy with it and I have not had to do anything special for it. Low maint. so far. I just set up a new tank 3 days ago and cycling fishless so hopefully I can share some with the other tank in a few weeks.

I bought some that was labeled WaterSpirit. I love this plant. It's nice. I have 1.5 WPG and it does just fine. I don't use anything on them, just the water that come out of the tap.
