I bought a couple plants at wallyworld just now, and when the guy was taking them out of the tank a few snails fell off them...how do i know if there is snail eggs in them? Can i soak them in something to kill off eggs?

also, the plants i got are a purple waffle, some type of grass looking stuff, baby dwarf tears, any info on any of these?

It says to soak the plants in bleach and water and then let it sit in water with dechlorinator in the water...whats dechlorinator? Is it the stuff i add to my tap water before i add it to my tank?

ok well i think i did all this right, i let the plants sit in the solution for ten minutes and then took them out and let them soak in water with a bunch of dechlorinator in it. How long does it take for snail eggs to hatch? So i can tell if it worked or not

sorry no one's responded yet... i doubt any eggs survived, but i would think it would only take a few days.

they don't sound familiar to me, the grass like stuff could be dwarf hairgrass... requires moderate light i think, but other than that, no idea, sorry. did you have a look at plantgeek.com?

i know this is a little late but just curious, have u noticed any of those snails in your tank or not?
