so... i got my huge shipment of plants today!!! there were all different kinds and i was pretty happy overall with the selection, since i just did the low-light assortment... and i'm also glad i went with a smaller package than they suggested, 'cause i know what they sent are still babies and everything, and i'm thinking that when they all fill in it's gonna be plenty crowded! gotta have plenty of swimming room and everything! the only ones i didn't really care for are the 'bunch' plants... especially the uh... anacharis (sp?)... i already took that out, just seemed to make a big nasty looking mess of everything.

it was also kinda tricky knowing where to put everything, 'cause i have no idea how tall each thing gets, etc... (had to look up each one)... and i still wanna get some mosses or grass-like stuff for the very front, or for the driftwood.

anyway, i'll take pictures, but not yet. i want things to get at least a little bit established, and maybe have some fish in there!

Did you get that assortment from Live Aquaria? I was looking at that but wasn't sure if I wanted all of them even in the small one.

no, i looked there, but it seemed to me like they gave you only a few plants, just tons of the same types... sec, lemme get a link... i went here:

they have several low light package deals, where they just pick from what they have (though they do say that if there's a specific plant or two you'd like to request they'll try to accommodate you).

i got the package for a 30-55g tank, (i have a 72g) which i did for two reasons... first, i want plenty of swimming room for fish, but i also wasn't sure i'd get plants i really liked, so i wanted to fill in patches with specific plants of my choice after i saw what i got. like i said, i'm fairly satisfied... they look healthy and they 'seem' to even be snail free (knock on wood).
