I have 7 hornwort plant stalks and I can seem to be able to keep them down in the gravel. They don’t seem to have any roots so they just come out of the gravel. I’m looking for either a just use more rocks or a DIY thing I don’t really want to go out and have to but something.

You could try a cable tie. you get a small rock and zip the plant to it ( not to tight ) and sink it in your gravel. that what I do for the rope hitching posts for the seahorses.
