Tomorrow I am going to go buy the plants for my tank -

I plan on getting some anubias, some hornwort, and some lace java fern. I am just not sure how many I need/want.

I was figuring maybe three anubias, one hornwort (it looks like it takes stuff over easily) and one or two of the lace java ferns?

doesnt sound bad though the hornwort i believe you usually buy in a bunch and if that is the way it is by you then spread each plant out as it needs to be spread out and yes everytthing else sounds good just they will all probably take some time and patience to grow since i am asuming you dont have much wattage so just need to be patient or you could add some fertilizers to speed it up a little bit

You can put in as much as you want! My experience with the hornwort was not good. I don't think they are low light plants, and mine basically disintegrated in my tank leaving a lot of dead plant mess all over the tank. The anubias and java fern are basically throw in the tank plants and very easy.

Sounds like anubias and java fern as starters for me.
