C02?

So I am looking into some C02 systems and am wondering if anyone can suggest a good sytem to buy which is not too expensive. The fully automated ones are like aroung $400. I'm looking for one which is maybe half that price.

I heard somewhere that I can make my own with some yeast. How safe is that? Will my pH go on a roller coaster ride if I do it that way?

Any info would be appreciated.. I already looked into liveaquaria.

If you have a DIY ("do-it-yourself") CO2 system, then it all will be much cheaper. If you want a DIY CO2 system, I strongly recommend that you ask about it on PlantGeek.net (I know nothing about how to make it). You do not need a cylinder in a DIY CO2 system. Curtis from Plant Geek knows A LOT about how to make your own CO2 system.

Its really a big trade off though. DIY is a lot of money saved, but a lot more time spent, and vice versa for pressurized.

And, as my dad always says, "You've either got one or the other. All the money and no time, or all the time and no money."

LOL, this is a word for word copy of what my dad says too! And it's very true, no doubt.
