Peat pellets

Has anybody used peat pellets to plant some of the plants. Its hygienic and compact.

Hi Neil My response again (lol): I've never heard about peat pellets, so I can't really advise you on that, but I've read about mixing peat moss with nutrient-rich aquarium substrates: http://home.infinet.net/teban/substrat.htm

I have not used them in an aquarium, but I have used them with terrestrial plants, and they are really good. Your biggest issue would be making sure that the pellet was completely covered. Peat has a pretty neutral weight in water, and has a chance of mucking your aquarium up if it isn't held under the gravel.
