Bubble wand

Can a bubblewand be in a planted tank?

I don't see why not. As long as the plants are rooted well, or have some type of weight or plant anchor to hold them down, the bubblewand shouldn't be a problem. You should probably run the air line through a valve, though, just to be able to regulate the force of the bubbles.

Yes, you can have a bubble wand in a planted tank Are you using CO2 in your tank? If you are, you should have your bubble wand turned on and night and off during the day. If you're not using CO2, then you can have it on whenever you want.

i could be mistaken and correct me if i'm wrong, but a bubble wand would disturb the surface of the water which facilitates gas exchange, which in turn would add more oxygen to a tank and allow the valuable co2 to be released which could limit the growth and photosynthetic rate limiting a plant's growth

Hi Fungusonyourtoe. You're entirely right. But that cycle is reversed at night, so Isabella is saying that plants need oxygen/release CO2 at night, so it would help their work to have it on at night. The double advantage of that is that a lot of the fish that typically enjoy a bubble wand (loaches, corys, etc.) are nocturnal.
