Water Letuce

I'm going for a heavily planted tank. However, I have a school of Columbian Tetras that like some shade. In order to accomplish this, I bought some Water Letuce to cover the low light plant side of the tank (left).

The problem is my filter. I have an aquaclear 30 (20 gallon tank) and it keeps moving the water letuce all over the tank. How can I get them to stay on one side?

I'm also wondering if I need to have the AquaClear filter running full tilt or can I slow the flow down?

Thanks,

Julien

Slowing down the flow will not cause problems.

Low light might not be enough for the lettus, you may just see them fde away.

Get a small canister filter and that'll stop that all together.

You could anchor them to the side of the tank with some nylon string and a suction cup...tie the string in the roots then to the suction cup...
