Hi, i'm thinking of startin a ten gallon planted aquarium and i jus wanted to kno if a CO2 injector is needed .Where i live we don't sell them so i need to kno what can be a substitution.

As far as I understand it, CO2 injectors are mainly used for keeping up the level in heavily planted tanks. Unless you plan on having your 10 gal so heavily planted that there isn't any room left for more than one or two fish , a C02 injector would be overkill. The fish would exhale enough CO2 for your plants.

Also, if you want CO2 injections in your tank, you should have higher lighting and some good nutrient-rich substrate. Otherwise, why use a CO2 reactor if you'll have a regular low light tank? CO2 is not generally used in low light tanks. Anyway, how many watts per gallon of lighting are you going to have? What plants?
