does anybody know if i can take a leaf from my crypt plant and replant it without any consequences and would it grow or kill the plant

You can take a leaf off of your Crypt without consequences to the plant but the leaf won't root and make another plant. Crypts have a little tuber they grow from and shoot out runners to make new ones.
