Tank Size and cycling
Why does it take longer for a smaller tank to cycle in comparison to a larger tank? Is it an obvious answer?

Honestly I'm not sure if this is the answer but based on my experience it is true that the smaller the tank, the longest it takes. It might have something to do with the available surface area (both for O2-CO2 exchange and for bacteria to colonize) being smaller than in bigger tanks and also some other water parameters that influence cycling time, like temperature, are prone to higher variations than bigger tanks.
