Cycling!

soo i just spent almost 30 dollars to get safestart and I haven't used it yet. i came home (i was away for three days) and tested my water. I had 0ppm for ammonia 0ppm nitrite and about 20 for nitrate. did my tank cycle already? It has only been two weeks!

What did you use to cycle the tank if not Safe Start? Is this the new 37 gallon I see in your info?
It's entirely possible for a tank to cycle in two weeks, but gosh I wish mine would do it that fast.

If you truly have no ammonia, no nitrites, and 20 nitrates, you should be good. Sometimes a tank will cycle in a week or two, and sometimes a tank will take well over a month to cycle.

I used ammonia. Maybe i will use the safestart to start a bigger divided betta tank. it is the 37 gallon. i'll just test the water for another couple days to make sure right?

What kind of test kit are you using? I mean, if you have a good kit, and it's showing those readings, then I don't see any reason not to go nuts adding fish.

Wow, that was a fast cycle. The only thing I'd do is maybe test your tap water for nitrates and if it's 0, I agree with sir and Devon, you're good to go.
Congratulations.

I agree with the others...if you have a reliable test kit, you are cycled!! just add fish slowly so you dont overdue the bioload ...whats your stocking plans? and we LOVE pics
