nitrite at 1ppm with Bio-Spira?:should I worry??

I have a 55g with 7 t.barbs. I am on day 5 with Bio-Spira and the ammonia is 0-.25 (more yellow than pale green), nitrite 1. My pH is 7.6 and water temp. is 78. Everything I've been reading says do not do water changes, but I thought BSpira cycled the tank almost overnight. I also read not to worry about the water readings with BSpira, that there would be some spikes but the fish would be fine.?? We treated our water with Start Right by Jungle. It does not have ammonia binders as far as I can tell. The nitrite was .50 on day 3 and 4. I think we overfed with a brine shrimp cube -- could that be the reason? Fish are not looking stressed, but I am...

Don't worry, and don't add anything else like Prime. After the readings for ammonia and nitrite go down to 0 you can do regular partial water changes of 25% per week and you should be fine!

You don't have a big load on that 55 gal, you will be fine.
