WOO HOO my 80 gallon has now finished it cycle my reading this morning were Ammo 0 Nitrites 0 pH 7.6 nitrates 10 did water change this morning hopefully to try and bring the Ph down a little ... but I'm gonna get some more fish 2morrow morning and i cant wait I'm so happy ... Gonna start to cycle my quarantine tank some time this week gonna do it fishless with fish food as cant seem to find any pure ammo here in england, any help would be appreciated

Water changes won't bring your pH down or for that matter change your pH at all hopefully. Your tank will generally be the same as the tap water you put into it. So I'm guessing your tap is 7.6 pH also. If it isn't then something in your tank is causing the pH to either rise or fall (if we are only talking 7.5 compared to 7.6 for example, then it's not a concern). That being said, there is nothing wrong with 7.6 and most of the tropical fish out there will just love that pH with little need to acclimate to it. Were there any specific fish you were looking to get?
