"cycle" instead of bio-spira

i have a 2 week old tank that i'm cycling fishless using fish food. i also have been using "cycle", but now i'm reading that it's totally useless, so i want to stop using it. but, i've also read that if you ever stop using it, your tank will continuously keep doing mini-cycles, so i'm afraid that if i stop using it, i'll have to start all over again, and i'd honestly rather keep buying it and using it just so that this doesn't happen. but i was wondering if, since my tank hasn't finished cycling yet, (it's still in the ammonia spike stage) i could safely stop using "cycle". does anyone know?

Nope. You won't have to start over. You can just stop using the Cycle. Your setup may be set back a little bit, but it isn't a huge deal.

The big danger with the stuff is if you've been using it with fish. Then you've got to watch your ammonia levels like a hawk.

Try using Seachem Stability, its not as good as Bio-Spira but it doesnt have the problems of Cycle. Cycle uses heterotrophic bacteria that die off about a week after you add them, meaning you have to constantly replace them because the tank is not really cycled at all.
