So, i thought i cycled my tank but i was wrong. Got rushed with the new tank and it wasn't my intent, don't need a lecture on the cycle or care to explain how i screwed up. I have AmQuel+, i wanted to have something on hand in case of an emergency. Do you think i'll be able to use the AmQuel+ to detoxify the ammonia? According to this site:

The bound ammonia will still be food for the bacteria to grow off of, so they certainly think that you can cycle and use AmQuel+ at the same time. I'd like to hear what others have to say, because i'm trying not to get fish killed, but i also don't want to start using this product regularly to lock the ammonia and in 2 weeks (or whenever) stop using it and find out the cycle's still nowhere. The one drawback i already know about is that the treatment might make false readings for ammonia on my API Liquid test kit.

I have used AmQuel+ at the beginning of a cycle and had no problems with it.
