Overnight cycle?

I bought some stress-zyme and put it in my tank that is cycling. It says that it contains the beneficial bacteria but i was wondering if it had enough to cycle the tank overnight?

I have some of that, more money down the drain. I'm not sure what's it's supposed to do.

The only thing I've heard of (no personal experience with it) is bio-spira.
Seeding the new tank with filter media from an established tank works, not over nite though.

In a word...no.

The only products that I know of that will cycle a tank that quickly are BioSpira and Tetra Safe Start. Safe Start is a new form of BioSpira that doesn't need to be kept refrigerated to keep the bacteria alive. Apparently, the bacteria in Safe Start is in a dormant state that become un dormant when it contacts ammonia.

BioSpira on the other hand has live bacteria that needs to be kept refrigerated to stop the bacteria from dying.

I've never heard of a 24-hour cycle. The fastest I've heard is 48 hours.

I would really beware of any product that made a grandiose claim like that, or anyone trying to sell you something by telling you that it will cycle your tank that fast.

BioSpira is supposed to do that but it rarely does... thats why you hear the 48 hour thing.
