Congrats! I see by your info that you have a question mark in front of the ammonia reading. Do you have a test kit for it? Can you let us know what your up to date readings are? And also.. what type of test kit are you using? I hope that its all cycled.. what kind of fish are you going to put into that 10g tank?

Im Just making sure that the tank is cycled using Feeder fish, but I am sure that it is and that they will be fine. Probably going to give them to my friend who has turtles after (im so evil). Atleast they'll be nice and nutritios when the turtles get at them Lol.

Oh, and I'll probably be putting in 3-4 cories (likely peppered) and a betta. Good idea?

fishperson....

I sure hope you will be more sensitive and carrying to your fish in your tank then you are to the demise of those feeder fish. We care about all our fish... and even joking with comments like that sounds very insensitive.
Im sorry if I sound harsh... it just sounds so cruel and heartless.

opps... forgot about the above post ending where you said what you will be putting in there. The three cories, IMO and a betta sound great!

Yup, just make sure the betta doesn't go after the corry, sometimes they will do that, but it all depends on your betta!

How long did it take for your nitrites to go down? I've had nitrites for 8 days now but they don't seem to be going down yet. Ammonia is at 0 though and I've got nitrates. The nitrites just don't seem to be going down.

i didn't think that sounded cruel at all-- turtles have to eat and they are feeder fish afterall... what else would she do with them if she isn't going to keep them? at least this way they are not being killed for no reason...

First of all, to Lisamorie, Im a guy.

Second, to eepruls, it took my tank abouta month to cycle. the ammonia is always the first to go down, then the nitrites.
