If I have a ten gallon tank will it cycle faster than much bigger one like a 55 g?

well really its not the size of the tank its how you do it....theres a guy at the petco bye me and he knows what hes talking about one of the better guys in the area i have dealt with ...but anyways my 55 gallon went through the whole process in about 2 weeks..and i asked him about that and said that i just doesnt seem like its long enough...and he said that it should only take that long if you know what your doing he said the reason some tanks take much longer to cycle is becuase they dont know how to do it...but really ..water in a large or small amount would proubably cycle at the same speed..unless you use a old filter or somthing.
