plant question

I have a 75 gal tank with balas and a tinfoil barb and was wondering, what kind of plants the tinfoil barb would maybe find undesirable to munch on?

Balas and Tinfoil barbs go tag team with nipping plants I remember putting a few amazon plants and tying java moss on a driftwood. Boy did those guys get full.

Hi Ron and WELCOME TO FISHLORE!

You could try some anubias. I'm not sure if tinfoils would not eat them but you could try. I've had some anubias before with some plant-eating fishes and they didn't bother it.

Try checking this link out for various types of anubias. Best of luck!

Thank you for the quick reply. They haven't seemed to bother the anubias, so I was wondering if it is a plant they don't like or is it just a matter of time before it has munch marks.

If they are quickly swimming through it, it will eventually start nipping it while they swim by. If they aren't even going near it then you may be ok.

I'm not a moderator but if you can merge you're two posts together before the mods do! lol.
