Aquascaping a 10g?

Okay I have a spare 10g which Iam using to cycle so I can cycle a larger tank with it. But Iam keeping the cycled water in it and all. I want to aquascape it. Any suggestion?

Good morning. If you're looking to add live plants...java moss and java fern would be nice. They are low light plants and should survive in the generic lighting that comes with most tanks.
Tall plants in the back and short ones up front.

I heard the lighting isnt that expensive so I can just get a good lighting but not an overly expensive one. My question is, I wanna use it as a refugeum but I wanna keep in a betta in there for plant food. Is it possible?
