ok i have a 16 gal bow and has been set up for 5-6 weeks the cycle is compleate i have 2 banana plants in jars out side. is it safe to add them now with just a gravel substrate
also i only have 1 13 in florecent light will that be good enough cause i can't add any more lights

You can add plants whenever you want. However, it is unlikely that your current lighting will be adequate for banana plants.

i agree, you may need better lighting to grow those plants. what is the wattage on the bulb?

plants can be added at anytime, personally i put them in right at the start, it helps with cycling
