Well when I was walking home from school I found a huge pile of rocks everywhere and I picked one rock up. It's a white rock and has some translucent lines on it. Here's a picture:


I was wondering if this rock is save. I did see some shiny deposits when I put it in boiling water.

It looks like quartz to me.... if so it should be perfectly fine for your tank.

i believe its quartz as well, i collected a bunch of rocks a few weeks ago and did some research, that piece is much better looking than any of the quartz i found tho lol.

Thanks I'll be collecting some more to place at the back of my aquarium. It would look great.
