old tank, new ideas?

I have an old 1 gallon tank. Like the ones you get from wally world that come with an undergravel fillter and an air pump. Can i use this for anything? If so, what?

There isn't much that can thrive in a 1g. Some nice plants and shrimp like suggested in your other thread.

I just skimmed lightly through these pages but they sound like a good place for you to start.

Shrimp don't build burrows... At least, Freshwater ones don't. You might be reading about saltwater shrimps! They don't need live plants - but are much happier with them. Shrimp eat shrimp pellets and algae. I'd say you could fit 5 Amano shrimp/10 Red Cherry/Ghost shrimp in a 1gal, as they have a tiny bio-load, but I'm not an expert on shrimp only tank stocking.

This site is great: http://www.planetinverts.com/
