My tank 'decoration' is done!

I've finally finished putting together the decoration of my tank!

For my (future) 6 danios, 3 guppies, and 3 coryies, I've tried my best to make the enviroment suit the fish (hiding places plus swimming areas) and make the look fairly attractive as well...what do you think??

Bear in mind this is my first ever tank (aquascaping isn't exactly my strong point )

I'm just a little worried about the gravel/substrate for the three panda corries...Is it too rough? is there anything else I can do? I've added 4/5 'smooth' rocks (don't know if you can see them) but will that be alright??

I think you did a great job. Nice pyramid look. The cory's will love hanging out all over the structures you've placed. I wonder if the heater could be hidden behind it? (since you're looking for a critique) I'm a designer. : )

I agree with the heater... maybe put it behind the decor, other than that it looks great! Personally I would put a background on the tank to complete it but thats just me lol. The Corys should be fine with that gravel as long as it doesnt feel rough or abrasive to you.

Yeah I agree about the heater, except the main angle of watching the tank is from the right hand side of the tank, so in a way it is actually 'behind' the decor...

However it is a bit of an eye-sore from the front, is it ok to put the heater vertical?? Because at that 90 degree angle would be more 'invisible', but would that hamper heat dissapation (wrong word lol) ??

It doesnt matter if its vertical or horizontal... the circulation of the water determines how evenly the heat is dispersed.

straight up and down shouldn't hurt the efficiency of the heater, but that depends on what the manufacturer says. By the way, very Nice aqua scape!

yeah that makes sense, thanks clinton! (and others who advised!!)
Mines pretty good with the fast filter and the air disc thing (centre tank)

thanks for your help....I'll post some more pictures when I finally cycle, put fish in and hide heater better!!
