Hello BB...they are Julli Cory's. I just looked up photos of both of them to be certain. These were the only type of Cory's that the Petco had.

Thanks SWilkins. I'll have to pass this time but will certainly keep it in mind for the future.

Y'all are so much fun
Ken
LOL Still trying. I think I got Navy hee hee.

Congrats on your Corys. They're a beautiful looking fish. Looking forward to seeing your Dollars when you get them.

Thanks Tony, Life! It's kind of odd just having the 3 Cory's in the 26g and not seeing any top or middle feeders. That's ok though, it will only be until the end of the month.
Life, what kind of Silver Dollars do you have? I don't think I ever asked you. I'd love to find some like them.

I bought them from a general pet store. That's all they called them, and I didn't know there were other varieties at the time. I've seen others since with the plain silver, but the larger ones are a slightly different shape. I got ours as babies, so maybe it's something to do with the feed.

Cory Julli Update

Good morning. 3 out of 4 Cory Julli's have survived quarantine. (one died the first night I had them) I'm going to leave them in quarantine for another 8 days simply to keep my cycle going until I go to my LFS (an hour away) at the end of this month. They are all very active now and I can't wait for them to go into the 265g but I will Then I'm going to get 3, maybe 4 Silver Dollars (Red Hooks and Striped) to go into the quarantine tank and move the Julli's to the 265g. Once the Silver Dollars are out of quarantine and placed into the 265g, that will be it for the 265g. Stocked. Each fish (total of 25 fish) in the 265g will have 10+g's of water to call their own. This is my own personal stocking guide lines for large fish. Too, I'm going to get a few more "large" plastic plants 24" - 36".

hmmmm what to stock my 26g with once all of the quarantine is completed? Maybe I'll find something really neat while I'm at my LFS.

Have a good day everyone!

That sounds so exciting!
I wish I had gotten more cories when I was at the store. They were gorgeous, but I had already spent enough.
I told the guy at the store that if anyone called wondering how much his wife spent to tell him they were having a 99 cent fish sale.

LOL Lucy...then hubby is going to ask "well if they were only 99 cents then how come you didn't buy more?" hmmmm
Ken

Thanks Atkinson. Everyone in the tanks are very happy

thanks for the link, i checked it out but still a little confused. The pictures are a little small to. But from what i can see the markings on the head are diffrent? The one has squiggle lines on the head, and the other has dots?

Heather that is the way I have interpreted it as well. Squiggley lines and dots. This is the first time I've had any Cory Cats other than the common ones and the albinos.

I <3 Corys! I have 4 Sterbai, 4 Juli Leopard, 3 Schwartzi Leopard, & 3 Panda. The Schwartzis are new. I think they look like a cross between the pandas and julis.
