There's excitement in the air! You would think we were there "helping" you I am just thrilled everything went so well but that's what I expected.
I always say, "If you're not wet you're not doing water changes right." LOL can't wait for pictures.
That was a steak well earned.

I don't know if they make much bigger, you might jump up to "pond care", but I know the tools from OASE might not be too safe in an aquarium. I purchased my set from AAG, they were pretty quick turn around, not necessarily the cheapest, but I bought the kit w/ case, and it is pretty nice. See the long scraper and the 24" size tools, maybe they'll work for you but you probably will be up to your elbow wet. Good luck, maybe others have more ideas and links.

Y'all are too funny! Thanks for all the tips and suggestions. I ordered the pair of 31" aqua tongs and new bulbs. I'll keep an eye on the links given should the ones I ordered not work the way I want then I have a fall back site to check out.
Thanks again!

The fish are all doing well. One pair of Bloody Parrots (BP's) were attempting to spawn before I did the move. Moving them did not stop their desire to spawn. The pair are already cleaning their new selected area. Too, some of the other BP's are pairing off. I think that's a pretty good sign that they are enjoying their new home and that conditions are right where they need to be.

teehee BB. I just did my chemistry readings and everything is "spot on".
Knocking on wood but it seems that all of the advance preparation has really paid off. Seeding the new filter media for several months ahead of time. Pre-filtering, treating and heating the new water so worth the effort I am truly blessed and fortunate. Again I thank everyone on Fishlore for giving me back the passion for the hobby.

My water is crystal clear!!!!!!!!!! (I'm sitting here grinning from ear to ear)

You'll just about need one lol! Just how did you manage to keep each parrot in the bucket while trying to lift it out of the 155G? I would have thought the weight of the water in the bucket would make the process slow moving, whereas there would be no resistance with a net.

Life it took me a while to get them all out once I pumped out about 2/3's of the water from the 155g. I just lowered the bucket into the 155 and scooped them out quickly. I usually only got 1 at a time. None of them tried to escape the bucket once they were in there. I had to change clothes once I moved all of the fish, before I started playing with any electrical stuff. I was a wet, mess! LOL

Yipee! I'm glad to hear everything (for the most part) went smoothly and the fish are all happy in their new home -- apparently the parrots are very happy . That was quite a project! & thanks for updating us along the way. I'm on pins and needles waiting for those pics.

Thanks Ilovee! I've taken a few pictures of the new tank with the fish in it. I"ve added a few plants but until my new tongs arrive, I can't reach the bottom, back, center. lol
So it's not the way I want it just yet. When I get them developed this week I'll be sure to post them anyway
Have a good day today!
