55g Drums

These are the 55g drums that I've mentioned before. I'm using them to pre-filter the water for the 265g (in addition to all the water transferred from the 155g and a 29g tank I use for the same purpose.

This morning I rinsed off another 50lbs of small river rock for the new tank. Cleaned up a bit in the fish room. Tomorrow I'm going to do the transfer, fish, water, gravel, filters, the works. I was going to do it today but I wanted to get caught up on FishLore and see how everyone is doing I can wait 1 more day
Thanks again!
Ken

They sure are Btate. I keep them on hand in case of hurricanes...power outages, if we lose power we lose water being on a well. They have and do come in handy. Even with a generator they still come in handy.

As long as your hose and drain hole are working correctly, that's what is important. Teehee

You got a lot done while FL was down! Don't rush the setting up, and savor the process, even though we can't wait to see it. Is the driftwood still in your plan?
That will be the centerpiece, I can imagine.
So, how many times have you logged in to make sure FL is still there? You get a lot less done, that's for sure!

Hello Life! I"ve been busy for sure I'm considering mounting the driftwood on a wall in the fish room, instead of in the tank itself. At least for now. Too, I've been considering fastening it to the boat dock, under water for it to get water logged. I'm thinking that if something happened that it floated to the top of the tank, and it being so large might damage the center support bars. This wood has been out of the water for years. I was told that the piece of slate I intended to attach it to would not be big enough. There are "stickies" on the center bars now that state "if broken do not fill the tank". Maybe I'm being paranoid but I have too much invested and come to far to mess up now LOL. I'm going to think it through some more

I signed off and on several times yesterday just to make sure some of you folk didn't hide the keys again! Lucy and I will remember that LOL
