I would like to let you know that if you buy an angelfish, select tankmates with caution because there are risks of certain fishes nipping at it's long fins. In fact not too long ago, I bought a black angel and it got it's fins partually eaten and killed outright by my dwarf gourami and one of my black mollies! So remember those things when you choose to have tankmates to go with your angelfish.

You are exactly right! Nippers are not good tankmates for angels!

Would you mind posting sugestions for fish that should definitly not be put in with angels, and maybe some particularly good tankmates? I'm looking for a peacefull but well stocked tank.

How big is your tank? I find that if the tank is on the biggish side, Angels get along better with most fish.
I'd say mollies, black-phantom,black tetras, gouramis. Keep in mind these fish get along in my tank and i'm not too sure overal wise.
White tetras can sometimes nip, swords too...

My one angel gets along great with my mollies and swordtails have not had any problems with them even at feeding time they all seem to get along. Just love angel fish.

That's what kind of confused me because I always thought that what I had would do well with the angel. But I'm guessing that it was something to do with their personalities.

I just set up my 55 gallon tank and i want all Angels.But if I don't want to wait 50million weeks(lol) for it to cycle,what kinda fish can I put with them?I'm not a very patient person . I might change my mind and put some other fish in just so the cycle wont take so long.Any suggestions? Hey Kate can I still take you up on that offer about helping me with any questions I have about Angels? I know I didn't start that post,but then everybody else in here can benefit too.....thx
