Not in the young, i would think. i'm not 100% sure but i think F-H and my black one have small 'bumps' on the head while the silver's is straight. And they are 5in +...

Well 3 of my angels have this blueish hue. When you first brought up this subject i checked then, and they didnt have it. also then they weren't fighting.
Sometime ago you mentioned that your angels had their breeding tubes out, i think, did they show blue on their fins then?

when i had a breeding pair, the female was a little chubbier than the male... the whole body shape seemed stockier in general... could have just been my pair tho.

Yup and the male's mouth/ eyes area seem to be much more rounded. I have actually guessed all of my males sexes by the shape of their faces and body. Since they all looked like my first male Sunny RIP The male actually display for the females but not like other cichlids...more graceful like.
