Sick Angel?

Hello all! We recently purchased four quarter-sized angels for our 55 gal planted community tank. (two silver veils and two black) However, we are actually planning on taking two back very soon as was suggested by others after my initial post. We were planning on doing it this Thursday, our soonest day off. BUT, one of them seems sick? It is the smallest of the group..it just hangs out in the back corner of the tank by itself by the top, very RARELY leaves that position. The others are doing fine, looking very happy in fact and all fish in the tank seem to be getting along. I have watched the tank very closely for aggression by anyone...nothing. It doesn't eat, just hangs out there..the others will visit it once in a while but he is uninterested. I have tried bloodworms, brine shrimp, peas, and peas soaked in garlic as I hear these are their favorites? What else can I do? I hate to see a sick fishy, especially one so pretty as an angel, I also don't want to take a sick fish back to the LFS. Water parameters good ammonia 0, nitrite 0, Nitrates 10...pH stays at 7.5 and heat at 78 (admittedly when the lights are on however, it does get to 79-79.5). What should be done?

If the tank is established, and he deosnt show 'obvious' signs of disease, then the angel is simply stressed. Depending on his condition and overall health he might make it. But make sure the tank is not 'mini cycling'... judging by his size, he's very young so he's very sensitive to stress and survival is not really 100% guaranteed. But with good parameters and without bullying he should get over the stress if he's healthy enough to begin with....

Raise the temperature to about 82F and give him a few days. Try not to bother him or disturbing the tank too much... and definitely dont overfeed, if he doesnt eat, this food will just become unhealthy junk. He'll eat when he's comfortable.

Good luck!
