Help!! :(

hi! till yesterday my male angel was quite dominant over the female angel but today everything's reversed dunno wat's happenin in there. i added a java plant yesterday and today the female's breeding tube has come out and she's quite aggressive towards the male and she's chasing him all over the tank and locking lips too! is it spawning behaviour?

Hello Jana. It sounds like the matting process to me. If the genital papilla is exposed then I wouldn't be surprised if you have some eggs in there by now. Sometimes the male needs some help in knowing what he is supposed to do and when he needs to do it. So the female is letting him know "it's time". Let us know!

He's just being coy...LOL I'm sure you're get some more responses Jana. There may be one more thing to consider here. Are you certain you have a male/female and not two females?

shawnie has been wrong many times
so keep a close eye...as long as there are no injuries and just chasing and lip locking , they are fine...but seeing their breeding tubes is the best to know m/f ...!!

alrite i will. Her breeding tube is big now! no injuries she's still chasing him they are not lip locking now but my mum said she saw them lip locking in morning. Actually she heard a "i dunno how to explain" kissing sound so she went there and saw them lip locking and flaring at each other and then the female started chasing him!

Is that the breeding tube?
Sorry for the bad quality!
Both of their breeding tubes are transparent so its hard to take a clear pic of it.

Hello Jana ive had a pair of angle fish pair up just 3 weeks ago and they were acting just like your 2 angles are at the moment and mine now have paired up and had 2 bathces of eggs and havent got any further than the rigglie stage so just be patient and they should pair up. If you get to have a good look at there breeding tubes the males should be long and slim line like a cone and the females sholud be a lot wider and more round like fingers crossed and good luck SHAWNIE helped me out a lot and gave me good advice so try to get as much feed back as you can..
