Angelfish fin aggression

Hi..
i have a couple of small anglefish with three small afra cichlids..
one of the angels is slighlty larger..the smaller one has damage to its fins, and tail... im not sureif it is from nippin or not, it looks like it...
however i dont know which of the fish caused it... the afra cichlids seem to be only amongst themselves and the angelfish are together a lot of the time...
how can i know who is the culprit?
it didnt seem as if the afra cichlids were having conflict with the angels, and the slightly larger angel is fine..

Hi John, Angelfish won't mix well with Africans I'm afraid, as the fish get bigger the Africans will tear the Angels to pieces. It might be a good idea to try and rehome either the Angels or Africans, as I would take a guess that one of the Africans is responsible for your Angels ripped fins.

afra cichlids and angels are from two different type of tank setups that require way too different of water parimeters/foood to be in the same tank....they are much more agressive in nature than angels and ill bet one of them is getting after the angel...and they will continue to go after them the bigger they get they require a much higher pH and should only be in a species only tank (with other african cichlids)
