Angelfish

I'm looking for input as to what make bad tank mates for angelfish. Does it matter what kind of angelfish?

Fin nippers such as tiger barbs aren't a good idea with Angels. A lot of tankmates depend on the age and size of the Angels. For example if you added neon tetras to a tank with large Angels, the Angels will eat them. If on the other hand you add baby Angelfish to a tank with adult Neons, the Angels will likely not bother with them, and won't view them as food. Some of my Angels are nearly full grown and live happily with a shoal of neons that they've been with since they were babies.

Just to add to Nick's great advice, when having baby Angels with adult neons, the neons should be added first

From my experience, sometimes Guppies can make bad tank mates for Angels as well also because of fin nipping.

i was considering replacing my BR parrots with angels. it was a short lived fantasy. talked about it with the partner and he says "why? the dogs love them". i do love them but i get so annoyed when they go picking on the cories for the food meant for the cories.
the dogs sit in front of the tank and play games back and forth with the BR's it is funny but as i said, i get annoyed with them picking on the cories.
thanks guys and gals

no, no video but i will get on that.
they bump noses back and forth, the parrots are a riot but they tick me off sometimes. i really was ready to trade em in for the angels till the BF butted in (on my invitation to converse about it)
Oh, I have 2 parrots. They really don't bother anyone -- just the other day i was one of em really give to one of the cories. i was yelling at the one parrot that was being naughty. Now, that would have made a good video!!

blood fin tetras and basically almost every barb. Have you tried feeding the cories when the lights are off? Maybe your BR's won't see the food.
