Eggs

I just found eggs all over the leaves of a big plan in my tank. I knew two of my Angels had paired off but I didn't think they'd be laying eggs this soon. Soo my question is, How long will it take for the eggs to hatch? I want to make sure I'm watching the tank closly when it's about time for them to hatch so I can try to get the babies out before they are eaten.

Hello Hayanna. Congrats on the new fry! I'll let someone with more Angel breeding experience answer your questions.
Best of luck!

if the eggs are fertilized, they will be a tannish color..ones that are not, will be brite white and the parents usually eat those ones....usually day 2-3 you will see the wigglers starting to emerge...they will be like dark black eyes and they will eat their eggs sacs for a few more days...day 6-7 they should all be free swimming.....

Sweet~ There are about 10 of the bright white ones still there but the rest are darker.

Thanks for the info. Already have a little tank ready to go for the babies... Now hopefully things will go okay and I'll be able to get them out in time.

its actually much easier to move the parents and leave the free swimmers...but having a bare bottom tank among other things is much easier..if you do a search on fishlore for angels spawns and angel fry, you will see a ton of info that will help alot good luck to you and your babies!! share some pics when you can we love pics

So that person I know very well. He is from Australia, and he breeds angelfishes all the time He makes a lot of DIY stuff. Like DIY hatching brine shrimp, and DIY C02 injection

Hope that helps!
