Sick Angel?

I've seen the warning signs before, but it can't be more apparent than with the group of angels I added a few days ago. If it wasn't for the glass, they'd jump straight onto your face, like a scene from aliens! A couple wag their tails like a dog they're so pleased to see me, so it is sad to see one suddenly become withdrawn and tucked away in one corner of the tank as if waiting to die. A second one is a little like that, but I don't know yet whether it's going in the same direction.
There are no physical signs other than lethargy, and not interested in eating. Each time I have bought a number of a species, one has died for no apparent reason, and the remainder have been fine.

oh no!! I dont know about aus, but here in the US, our angels lately havent been the best of quality and dont sustain life as juvies very well....most LFS around me have angels that are totally stunted or deformed finnage...I so hope your lil guys perk up!!! im not sure if enticing them with a bit of fresh garlic juice soaked into their food will help or not, but im sure it cant hurt! good luck beach!

They don't appear to be carrying any deformities but then not really sure what to look out for. I don't have any garlic juice, but this individual is as low as it can go in the front right hand corner of the tank and been there all afternoon.
It's not interested in food at all and won't join the others. Hopefully it will just get over its issue - we'll see in the morning.

I got a laugh out of her, but she's not going to join!

Surprisingly, a second angel that started to show the same symptoms died. The first angel appears stable, and still lacking any interest. The pic shows no obvious signs of illness. I wish I could discover the cause. The other remaining four are active and show no signs of stress.
