Two of Butterfly's beautiful angels have paired up.

Well I did not think they were big enough or old enough but two of those gorgeous beauties have paired and laid eggs. It is over 24 hours since the eggs have been laid and they still look good. Mom and dad both are really working hard. What do you do Carol give them a handbook on how to take care of the eggs? So far they act like this is something they do everyday. I will keep you posted.

Thats great, do you have any pics of the parents reading the handbook or watching the eggs?

Funny Anna...I wish I could catch that.

Choffman....Of all the angels I have and of all of the eggs they have laid still no babies. Since Carol gave hers that handbook I am hoping they will surprise me.

WAHOO!!! Congrats! Glad to know their doing well.
The parents those came from paired early also and were small slow growers but matured into pretty good sized angels. Mom and Dad are good parents until about the third day freeswimming and the fry become lunch if I'm not careful.
I can't seem to get them past the chapter about not eating fry on the third day but by then the fry are pretty stable.
Keep us posted Since Mom and Dad are mixed there's not much telling what the fry will look like color wise.

How are the angels doing? Any pics of Mom and Dad since they've grown some? Did you ever get your book?

Well they apparently did not read far enough in the handbook you gave them Carol. They ate the eggs but they really tried for longer than I expected. I will have to get some new pics of them since they really have grown a lot since I got them. I have to check on that book....I should have had that by now...glad you reminded me.

Not bad for a first time. feed them up real good, do a major water change and they will lay again in about a week or so
