Cloudy fins

My angel's pectoral fin and dorsal fin has a patch of cloudy color, it is suppose to be clear and transparent. My parameters are pefect. 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, 8 nitrate, pH 7.6 and temp 77F. I had them for about 2 weeks now, only 1 of them have this condition. They act normal and go berserk for food. Is there anything wrong with it ?

Good morning. As long as the patch of cloudy color isn't fuzzy or as long as the fish isn't sprinkled with little white dots (like salt) and the fins are not clamped together, I don't think you have anything to worry about. Keep your eye on things just in case

Thanks, but what do you mean by fuzzy? and none of the fish in that tank ever have white spot.

If it is fuzzy it could be some type of fungus, might look something like a cotton growth.

Hi, I see that my angel's pectoral fin is clamped together, it is not fully open. How do I treat this? And what is this infection called. He still swim and eat normally for now, so i think that whatever infection that he has is still in the early stage. THanks

None of the picture or description appear to be like what my fish is having, a section of its pectoral fin just changes to a cloudy color and the fin can't fully expanded. It doesn't have any cotton-like substance one it. Thanks for the help, I'll keep a close eye on the angel and see how things go.

Now his pectoral fin is clamped together even more. I'm so sad, tomorrow if he's still alive I'm going to true a multi spectrum medication, hope things work out, he is my favourite angel

Help! Stuck fins!
Check out the above link and scroll down to post #6. It's concerning clamped fins and treatment posted by a moderator. Best of luck. Too, if you'll go to the top right hand side of this screen and do a search for clamped fins you'll find even more information

Hi, I'm from australia so i can't find any of the product stated on the #6 post. But I have got a multicure bottle that contains Methylene Blue, Constituents, Malachite Green and Acriflavine. I think i would try it but i don't really get what the description on the bottle, it saids:
"Use 5mL per 20 letres of aquarium water. For smaller fish and scaleless fish, use at a reduced rate of 5mL per 40 litres of water. Repeat treatment after 3 days"
So am I suppose to add the correct amount to my WHOLE TANK (even though only one of my angel and my black ghost knife has the fungus". And add the same amount again after 3 days?
And how do I remove the medication? activated carbon said to work, how long do i have to leave it in the filter for? Thanks a lot aquarist48, you've been a great help.

P.S: The medication is green in color, does AC remove the color too? If i have driftwood and plants in the tank do they get stainned by the medication?

On the bottle it says: Treatment for whitespot, velvet disease and fungal diseases. Should I try it ?

Good morning. I can't give you any information on the multicure because I've never used it. Let's see what some other members have to say. I don't want to lead you in the wrong direction.

It has been 30 hours after treatment, there are good news and bad. The good news is, my angel fish fins are looking better, I can visibly seen that it start to spread out more, but the bad new is that maybe because the black ghost knife is scaleless, its immune system is , so the med doesn't seem to do anything and now the fungus can be seen on its body. I think I will sepparate the 2 and up the dosage for the ghost. If i leave it, then it would die nevertheless, better for it to die trying. Wish me luck guys

I don't know about Black Ghost Knife care but from what I've read they are sensitive to medications. Be careful.
