Do different types of angel pair together?

Hi, I have 2 leopard angels, 2 albino angels and now I'm planning to get 2 more Koi angel, I'm just wondering do they pair up and breed together? And if anyone here from Melbourne, Australia could tell me the correct price for a pair of small Koi angel (2-3 inches) because my LFS sell a pair for $25. Thanks

Yup, most of the time mixed species of angels will pair up if they form from a large group

About the price im not sure, sorry

I would think that if you want to keep the blood line clean you may not want to see your different Angel types interbreed, tho I bet there would be some unusual cool looking Angels!

Are they mated pairs or just random angels in those colors and patterns?

thanks for the quick replies. .Nope theyre just random angels that i bought, they're 5cm now, how big do they need to get before they can breed? And do you think that from having 6 random angels (i don't know which are males and which are females), i would be lucky enough to have a pair ?

The vast majority of angels in the hobby are all the same species, pterophyllum scalare. Occasionally you might run across p. leopoldi or p. altum but it's rare, and they are more difficult to keep. The different colors and finnage in p. scalare are the result of selective breeding, and different varieties will readily breed.

You'd think they would know, since they are surrounded by mirrors

Yay! I just bought 2 koi angels. The new 2 are bigger than the 4 already in the tank because I think they would have a smaller chance of getting bully since they're bigger . I've been watching them closely for 2 hours now and everything is fine, they all swims up everytime I stick my fingers above the tank. Wish me luck for the next few days
