Can't find my angelfish :-(

I can't find my angelfish in my tank anywhere! I even looked in the filter and on the ground around the tank and I still couldn't find her. I saw her swimming around earlier this morning. Any ideas? :-(

do you have any driftwood in there?

In my tank I have a piece and sometimes I can't see the fish hiding behind it

Good luck or you've probably found it already

Check around the tank. I haven't hear of an angel jumping out before, but I wouldn't say its impossible. I hope you find her soon!

I still can't find her... not on the ground... not in the filter... I don't have any driftwood in there. I poked around in all of the plants and she didn't come out. I don't see her dead at the bottom anywhere. She didn't come up when I fed them and that's not good because she's usually a big piggy.

I can't think where in the world she could be, unless she jumped out and one of the dogs got her... but I think that's extremely unlikely.

I've never heard of an angel jumping. Was the angel small? I don't know if something could have eaten her.

She was small, about the size of a quarter (body size, not counting fins). But there is nothing in there anywhere near big enough to eat her.

I'm sorry, I hope you find her soon. Maybe she'll turn up later.

From looking at your tank info I didn't think anything in there that could eat her but I'm not familiar with the kuilis at all so I thought I'd ask. I had an angel fry get stuck in a hole in a piece of driftwood once. He was about nickle or quarter size. I couldnt get him out or break the wood with out hurting him. I ended up gently pulling him out but he died a few minutes later. If you have wood I'd pick it up and look really good. Double check all your decorations. They can get spooked and try to jam themselves into/behind things. Again, I've never seen one jump so I agree that seems unlikely.

@ suemvb: Kuhli's are about 3" long and look kinda like brown worms. They're bottom feeders like corydoras and they have mouths about the size of half a grain of rice. So I don't think they've eaten her.

Have you found her yet? I'm not making fun when I say this but when i read about people missing fish it reminds me of doing laundry and having a missing sock.
I hope your Angel has showed up by now (??)

No, I haven't seen her... :-(. I moved both of the rock caves and looked in them, and looked in the plants... still no angelfish. I'm really sad because she was soooo pretty! I think I'm going to drop some bloodworms in there and see if she comes out.

Did you check behind the filter intake? I have some small plecos that like to hide back there and she might have fit right in there.

No... I gave her all night to come out. Today I took every single decoration item out of the tank except the substrate so the tank was bare... she's not there. I quadruple checked the filter to make sure she didn't somehow get sucked in there, and she didn't. I can't think where in the world she could have gotten to! I can't believe she just vanished like that .
