At least my kids are grown....WHEW...I survived two teenagers somehow. Now my fish and my dogs are my babies. As far as taking care of all of the babies I might be doing this all wrong but it seems to work for me. I have a 55g grow out tank and keep everybody in there except the itty bitty ones...so far so good. I wish you the best of luck with potty training as much as I love my kids I do not miss that part. |

I might just do that. Thanks for letting me know it works out. As far as potty training goes I'm thinking it's a walk in the park compared to teenagers..lol..I have fun teaching them new things so it's not to bad but Im sooooo tired of washing clothes..lol..
I never had any luck with the pull ups so I just put "BIG GIRL panties" on them and it seems they become more aware of "IT"..lol..Pull ups were just an expensive diaper to my oldest..lol. |

Well you know the saying "A mother of teenagers understands why some animals eat their young". I would not wish teenagers on my worst enemy! My 19-year-old daughter will be 20 next month and she was worse than my son ever thought of being!!! I do miss her though....yikes my baby is gonna be 20... I must be getting old...she married and moved to Texas. |

I had one boy and then one girl...as I said before girls are worse than boys I am sure of it. Don'cha just love how stupid you are as a mom in their eyes (pain runs up the back of neck remembering the rolling eyes or groaning they did). Oh don't get me wrong I love my kids I really do but I swear my daughter tried her best to put us six feet under. For the rest of my life if I never had to deal with one of those tudes again I can promise you it will not hurt my feelings. I do have fun with one thing though...hee hee...I keep telling them both just wait until you have kids if they put you through half of what you put me through HA. I told them not to call me crying but they could call and apoligize...LOL. Part of me was kidding about that but I think a little bitty part really wants some payback. |

to be totally honest tho, if I had a dime everytime someone said "oh you wait until your girls are teens" over my lifetime, I could have retired years ago!!!!
and all it takes is love, consistency, understanding and guidance...you live by those 4 things, and it will be all a breeze...I never had the issues some parents face with teens, as my girls were/are very much involved in sports that kept them totally busy (me too I was major taxi driver ) but I wouldnt change a thing... |

| Yeah sorry for the hijack but you need to know a little of what is going to happen to you. Just keep up with those tanks girl because it may be the only thing that keeps you sane. We are wishing you the best by the way.
Yeah I said a lot of things that my mother did and I told myself I would never and I mean never say them....then along came teenagers...blew that theory right out of the water! |

| Congrats Cesch! 3-4 days after eggs are laid they hatch and they are wigglers. With a magnifying glass you can see that tiny little tails are sticking out of the egg and waving. In 3-4 more days they will be free swimming. They may still have an egg sac(it looks kind of orange), need to wait until the egg sac is gone before feeding(maybe a couple of days after free swimming). Then I start using either fresh hatched brine shrimp or golden pearls. Golden pearls are much easier and you will never use them all I feed these about four or five days then start trying the decapsulated shrimp. When I see them eating them I discontinue feeding golden pearls.
Because of feeding so often (their stomachs turn orange when they eat) it's very easy for the water to foul so water changes are extremely important
Sorry for the book but I couldn't find a stopping place LOl

I'll order it tonight. I've been doing WC every other day with the BRJ is that schedule ok with the Angels too?? |

| Some do water changes every other day and do just fine. Because I'm OCD(hubbys words ) I do daily water changes on angel fry at least for the first month. Their fins are starting to develop during this time and I find I have fewer bent fins if I do this.

Carol | Daily Waterchanges are ok by me..I do them for my L-144's so what's another tank..Execept that it's 55 gallons..lol.. I'll start doing daily WC for my other fry too. I don't mind it..I do it first thing when I wake up so it's done for the day. Thanks for the info and I'll get pics here soon. |

| Sorry about that. Like Shawnie said though maybe practice will make perfect. It has been a couple of weeks since mine spawned and ate them and it really is discouraging. Maybe next time. We'll just have to keep our water clean and our fingers crossed. |

| These Angelfish are professional egg eaters. They have layed eggs 5 times and everytime they eat them. I think they have acquired a taste for eggs. . I guess it's just not meant to be with these guys but ya never know they might surprise me someday..lol. They are in my 120 gallon now. and loving it. So I'm ok with it. lol..They are spoiled little buggers. |
