Can you help me breed my Angels

>>>Hello all! I have 5 angels and two have made up there mind to pair off and start breeding, wich is amazing! I have had all five for about 9-10 months now and have been wonderfull fish. The angels are in a 35 gallon tall aquarium, that experience weekly water changes, and a stable pH level of 6.7, very little nitrate and 82 degrees F. I am 99.9% the Marbled Angel is the male, its tube when breeding reseambles a pencil tip. The Silver and Gold Angel I belive to be the female her tube is bigger and more blunt. She lays the eggs and he follows. The first time I saw eggs, was about a week ago, placed on my Marineland in take tube. The eggs were already white and when I got home from work they were almost all gone. At this point I still had the other three angels in the tank but it was appernt who was mom and dad they were very territorial taking turns fanning the eggs and keeping the rest away.
>>>So two weeks go by and I knoticed them getting territorial again and had plenty of time to exhibit there cleaning rituals this time they choose the corner of the tank. I was fortunte enough to actually watch the breeding, it was increadable. I did a little more reaserch ,removed the other three angel and put a foam filter over the intake tube of my water filter. Its the best I can do for now lol. 24 hrs later most all the eggs are white again however a few are still brown. The parents are very attentive in fanning and watching.
>>>Is there away to know if this is infertility, fungis or maybe they just havnt got it right yet? What can I do better, differn't or try? Id like to see if maybe these two could produse and raise some offpring! Any Ideas please let me know, I'm at a loss and seem to keep reading the same information online, just a differnt author. lol. Thank You

welcome to fishlore!!!!!

thats so exciting...I have a few pair also....in time, they will get it right..and they are young so it might take a few tries..if you can find some flat big leafed plants , that helps alot...I got mine from the dollar store or walmart...not the plastic ones but the silk...just boil them and get the ones without bright colors..just the green ....you want to try to deter them from spawning on the filter but sometimes, thats just not possible....flat rocks like slate are helpful also...

goodluck and keep the faith ...they do get it right after a few trys! we would love to see some pics too

Sweet ThankYou once again. I also scooted the filter to the oppisite end of the tank instead of the middle, but it sounds like im on the right track! I will check out that link and post a pic or two. Happy fish keeping.

Thank You all for the complements on the fish. I think I might add about an inch or half inch of sand on the bare bottom and add a piece of slate or something. how would the sand efect everything any suggestions. Would it help to keep the water less hazy. Or would the sand be more of a pain?

The sand wouldn't make the water less hazy. In my breeding tank I keep a bare bottom because I want to keep it clean as possible. I can't imagine trying to keep as clean as I do with any kind of substrate. I know people do it though so it's not like it's impossible. I think sand would be better then gravel because all the waste sits on top instead of working it's way to the bottom. I like my bare bottom and think that's when it comes to easiness of cleaning it's better.
