What kind of Angelfish are these??

Hey guys,
On Saturday I ended up going to a Walmart out of town and their fish dept. wasnt too bad..But I saw these guys and they were beaten up pretty bad...Lots of torn and ripped fins...Anyway I ended up bringing them home...At first I thought maybe their gills were inflamed but I looked at the picture where their description is listed and the pic of the Angel had the same markings..So I'm thinking that it is normal and not a health issue..They have really long fins so I'm thinking that they are veil but not certain..Can't wait untill I get them all healed up and looking good..They are doing absoulutly wonderful and eating like there is no tomorrow..So hopefully all will go well..They are pretty big too...Bigger then a quarter for sure. Any help on this will be appreciated..Thanks guys.

They look like Koi Veils alright. You have enough room? Those guys get big and territorial.

They are definitly koi, but im not certain wether they are veil-tailed or long-finned, they could be both

I think those are koi angelfish, i had to sell some of mine as they grew out of the aquarium and were a bit agressive.

Room is something I always have. .lol...I have BIG empty tanks galore. They are 4 of them in a 55 gallon with 3 cories right now. Do you think its' big enough for them to stay in there...If they start pairing off and getting too aggressive I have a other tanks I can seperate them if need be.

They should be fine and with 4 you are quite likely to get a pair , then you may want to move the remaining 2

Look like Koi to me...maybe their gold covering will improve as they age, but I wouldn't count on it. One could be a marble or a koi w/ almost no gold...hard to tell in the pic. Nice fins...

The red gills are common in young koi (and some other varieties) due to nearly transparent scales over their gills. This should diminish or disappear as they age.

Thanks guys...I didn't really want to try Angels again but these guys kinda stole my heart and since they were at Walmart who knows what would have happened to them. I just had to get them..lol...I'm hoping their fins will grow out nicely..I've been doing small water changes every other day and using stress coat + just to keep the water super clean. They are fiesty little things. They bicker quite a bit but I've been keeping a close eye on them..Lots of lip locking going on. I'll try to upload a video so you can see what I mean. It was during breakfast though so they were all starving to death ..lol..Not eating since dinner last night..Poor babies..lol.

Yup. All still doing great!!..So glad too...If they didn't make it I was going to kick myself for getting them. But they are little pigs, can't feed them enough and they love having the 55 to themselves...lol..They swim all over the place. I'm glad to hear you see m/f...I would sooo love to have little babies...I bought a group of 12 spong filters off aquabid yesterday so I'm prepared..lol.

I feed them frozen brine shrimp. All of my fish go bonkers for it. I also feed them freeze dried bloodworms or a quality flake If I'm in a hurry. I noticed them eating the algae wafers I put in there for my cories the other day too..lol..I think they'd eat anything. But brine shrimp is their fav.

They are cute huh??..lol...I hadn't seen any like this before and was kinda shocked that they were in Walmart. I figured it was a sign from the fish gods that I was suppose to take them home. I emptied their tank. They are the most curious little buggers and make me smile every time I go in my fish room.
THey are the kings and queens of that tank for sure.

Would love to see pictures of the 120 when you get it stocked with plants and fish. Oh my mouth is watering. I want a bigger tank so bad.I'm going to have one when I get well enough. I want to sell my other two and get one big one.
See ya

Here is a pic of my 120
