| + Angels? I currently have a school of neons and corydoras in my 29 gallon and my angelfish seems to get along with them. I'm planning on adding more angelfish for the one I have but would that cause problems? Also, if my angelfish pair is there a more likely chance they will eat my neons to defend their territory? |

| If they pair & lay eggs, they will attack anything that gets near the spawn. |

| Your angels may eat your neons when they reach their adult size. I would look into getting cardinal tetras. They are .5 inches bigger, but that seems to make a difference. Other than that, two angels with tetras and cories would do great in a 29 gallon. I had a setup like that for a while and I loved it. The tetras won't need to defend their territory against the angels. They will act as dithers and swim throughout the tank |

| the only problem i could see is that there is no guarantee that your angels will pair off just by adding another to the tank. if you DO have a pair and they spawn, they will likely terrorize the whole tank, if you DONT have a pair, then the more aggressive angel will probably end up doing some serious damage to the one who is less aggressive. |

| well i was planning on getting like 3 more angels and find the other 2 to a new home but yeah.. the thing im worrying is that my angels would terrorize the whole tank |

| how old is the angel that you have and what size? if that angel grew up with the neons then you should be okay, but the new ones that you get should be the same size of the one you have now, meaning that they may not be juvies (depending on how old yours is) and could pose a threat to the neons. other than that they probably won't bother the corycats too much unless the angels spawn and the corys go near the eggs, the neons might be a bit more of an issue though |

| well i don't know exactly how old it is but I got him 2-3 months ago from my LFS and he's still pretty young and grew up with the neons. Excluding the fins he is about 2 1/2 inches long and 2 inches up. Anyways here's a picture of him xD sry that its not great |

| aw he's gorgeous
would you say the body is dime, nickel, quarter or half dollar size? i'd go back to the LFS and see if they still have the same ones that were in the tank when you got him, and get those as they should be the same size, bring some change so that you can compare sizes as well. |

| okay, then i would bring a quarter with you to the LFS and pick out some angels that are about the same size as he is, that should help you a lot in giving you the best chance of getting a pair, they should also still be young enough that they'll be okay with the neons.
when you get them, i'd remove the angel you have now from the tank and move things around a bit, and then introduce all of the new angels that you buy and the guy you have now back to the main tank at the same time, that should also help you with getting a pair. |

| A 45G would easily house a small colony of angels
Maybe you could move all of the fish you have in the 29 into the 45 all at the same time, and add the new angels at the same time, then it would be a fresh start for everybody.
Then when you got a pair you could use the 29G to breed them in |
