Hi all fishlore folk, do not have the faintest idea if I am doing this right as I have never done this type of thing before. I have a question about angel fish. I have 4 angels in a 600 litre tank along with 2 silver sharks,1albino shark,2 clown loaches,2 breeding bristlenose cats, various tetras, and some others.3 of the angels have been in the tank for about 7 or so months, all my fish are named, the angels are koi,and spotty, both of which are koi angels, then there is fonzie who is a gold colour with black stripes, and last but not least is angel man who was the biggest and transfered from my 200 litre tank and has been in my care for 12 months, all the others I have had for about 7-8 months. At first they all got on as fine friends but just recently fonzie has been pecking at angelman as it were and you think he has angleman bluffed, then lo and behold angelman goes on his side and launches an attack on fonzie,(who by the way seems to keep company with koi) then spotty will have a go at angleman while koi has a go at spotty and so it goes on till I don't think anybody knows who is attacking who and they all retreat to further their stratagies. It can be entertaining to watch as they appear to be doing no actual harm to each other, however from being best mates to this needs explaining, can anybody out ther help? I look forward to your replies Regards to all from Erik

Welcome to fishlore!
As Angelfish mature they can get pretty aggressive with each other. You may be seeing aggression between two males. It may get worse and you may find yourself having to separate them. I had two juvi angelfish together and it was also around the 7th month as they matured that they became very aggressive. I would watch for any injuries and stress and think about removing the aggressor for peace in the tank. I would also watch and see if two of them hang out more with one being picked on. There you may have a female and a male that may pair off which would leave the third one in harms way.
Best of luck with them...
