| Generally if your angels defend the same part of the tank together and don't let anyone else around there they they've effectively paired up. as far as laying eggs, i'm not sure about that, but i know of a few members who have successfully bred angels so hopefully they can help |

| Like Alex said, they will act as a team..Right now I have two in my tank that are not paired up..I have a big bully..Shawnie had said there will be some aggression in pairs but if their is any fin damage or injuries then you'll know they are not a pair. My little one has fin damage and they are not on the same team...Before they lay eggs they will clean off a leaf or leaning rock like slate or some other smooth surface to lay their eggs on...So if you see them cleaning a certain place that would be a good sign. I hope you do have a pair, it stinks having two that don't get along..I'm going to have to rehome mine. |

| When our pair is getting ready to lay eggs, the first sign will be the bulge in our female, then we'll see them cleaning the area they picked and finally their breeding tubes will come out. |

| Here are my angel's one of them is a marbled angel and one is a sunset blushing. The sunset blushing seems to be more dominant than the marbled. S |

| A mated pair of angels are territorial. They will generally spend most of their time in one area of the tank. When they are about to lay eggs they will get more aggressive with the other angels in the tank, constantly chasing them out of “their” area. You will also be able to see their sex organ (I forget what they’re called) sticking out of the bottom of the fish. And you will know when you see it, it’s pretty obvious. This will go on for anywhere from a few hours to a day before they lay eggs. You will also see both male and female pecking at leaves, filter intake tubes, tank glass and even glass heaters. They are choosing the place where they will lay their eggs. When they pick a spot and it is clean enough for them the female will lay a row of eggs and the male will come along behind her and do his thing. This will go on for an hour or maybe two until you have a patch of eggs in perfect little rows. They will continue to chase away the other fish that are constantly trying to eat the eggs.
Hope this helps |

MALE female angel.jpg see the more pointed face/mouth without a bump? FEMALE
in your last pic, the marbe isnt as round as he was in the first pic...and your fem isnt as pointy in the last pic ...visually look at them and see if you can tell a shape difference |

| Although not 100%, seems two females (pics of side view with fin fully extended will be better). Even two females are known to go thru same aggressive breeding behavior w/ eggs laid but no frys. Of course, ovipositor (sharp pointed tube on male and blunt tube on female) should be visible as soon as displaying spwning/breeding behavior.
