I want to get a small group off cichlids for my 30g, are there any 3-4inch cichlids that can go together?(I didn't know where to put this post). I dont care if they are south american or african, i just want a small group of some.

maybe german blue rams? i'm not very familiar with cichlids, but i know the blue rams are dwarf cichlids and pretty peaceful from what i understand.

There were these goldfish looking cichlids at the store, they had a weird head, but they look only 4-incehs. would they be good?

i'm not sure.....do you think you could find a picture of them?

chances are, if they are 4 inches at the store then they'll get VERY large. pet stores normally get fish as juveniles, not adults, and they haven't grown to full size.

If you want a cichlid thats peaceful i would go with either angelfish, bolivian ram, blue german ram, keyhole cichlid and alot more. But be careful cichlids will be cichlids and they can be aggressive from time to time. Hope this helps

Julidochromis Marleri .. i think that's the spelling.. would do well for what you want. They're beautiful cichlids that have mild temperments and get along really well.
