| Hi ann welcome to Fish Lore
I've moved your thread to this area of the forum where it will get more responses.
It would help the members help you if you could give a little more info.
What size is your tank?
What other fish are in the tank?
I don't know about angelfish but plenty of members do, I'm sure they'll be able to help you.
Good luck. |

| Hi there, I had 2 gorgeous marbled, longfinned combtail angles they were 9months when i decided to get a golden baby angle , they took care of that baby and as it grew it turned on them all three died! So i would say you can tell the sex of yours by now so yes get only 1 more try to get the opposite sex, the adult male develops a hump on his nose. Be careful a new hardier meaner Iranian species is being sold, they USUALLY tell you. But id bet it would be ok and try to get another adult as well. |

| do you have a pic of your angel? sometimes we can tell from a pic...if its old enough...just have a backup plan because most angels get territorial in a tank...sometimes taking out the older one and putting in the new one after moving around your decorations, the readding the older one, will help.... |

| By clown fish do you mean Clown Loaches ? If so they will out grow the 45g tank fairly fast. I personally wouldn't add any more fish if these are clown Loaches.

75 gallon is recommended for Clown Loaches. They get quite large thats why I suggested not getting any more fish. http://www.loaches.com/species-index...a-macracanthus

That is the best place for good, quaility Loach information. The clowns should be enjoying having buddies as they enjoy being in group. They also enjoy lots of hiding/sleeping places. Just think if they had a bigger tank you could put more fish in this one

The oldest known Clown Loach living in aquaria was 50 yrs old. I personally know someone who's Clown was 21 yrs old when he gave it away. When he began having health problems he gave it to an aquarium. Most aquariums won't take fish when they get too big but in this instance they did.
